2026 SKILLS INFO/MAP – WK 2
The skills competitions will begin at 9:30AM CST on Monday July 13th and will stop at 1PM CST. Players DO NOT have to be there at 9:30AM, but they do need to arrive before noon in order to get everything done by the 1PM deadline. There is not a set time for players to attend each skills event, this is on a first come first serve basis.
All competitions will take place at Drakes Creek Park on July 13th 9:30AM-1PM.

NOTE: We will be updating the Homerun Contest on our Facebook page every 30-45 minutes, so everyone will know if they have a chance to make it to the finals.
HOMERUN DERBY (Maximum 2 players) per team
Each player will get 60 seconds to see how many homeruns they can hit out. Players must supply their own pitcher (Coach or Parent) who will be behind a net front tossing. The top three players in each age division will advance to the HR Derby Finals and will receive awards based on their order of finish. Home plates will be moved up in order for a more fun competitive contest. How much they will be moved up will be determined the day of the event.
BASE RUNNING RELAY (Maximum 4 players) per team
4 players from each team will participate in this timed relay. Runner #1 will go home to home and after she crosses home plate runner #2 will take off, then so on until runner 4 goes home to home. PLAYERS MUST TAG EACH OTHER. The top 2 teams per age group will receive awards and these will be announced during the opening ceremonies parade.
AROUND THE HORN (One team of 5 players can participate)
Clock starts when the pitcher pitches the ball to the catcher, catcher throws to first, first throws to second, second throws to third, third throws to home. Clock stops when the catcher catches the ball. The top 2 teams per age group will receive awards and these will be announced during the opening ceremonies parade.
PITCHING VELOCITY (Maximum 2 players) per team
Each player will get one warm up pitch followed by three pitches that will be timed. Pitchers must supply their own catchers (Player, Coach or Parent). The top two highest speeds per age group will receive awards and these will be announced during the opening ceremonies parade.
